St Matthew's, West Ham, is a church on the evangelical wing of the Church of England. We would describe ourselves as evangelical and charismatic. We are a multicultural fellowship with members from the UK, Caribbean, Africa and Asia.

A few years ago we believe God gave us the vision of St Matthew's being a place out of which the love of Christ would be taken into the community and a place into which people would come and discover that same love.

As a church - the Body of Christ - our aim is to be a people in love with God and in love with each other, moved by the heart of God to bring his wholeness into the community.

We want to make a difference in this community for God.
