THE REALITY OF JESUS LOVE
"Love And The Power Of His Liberation"

July 2006

"So from now on we regard no-one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" (2 Corinthians 5:16-17).

Wa-hooo! Breakfast with Mr Bear at St Matthews Church on

Sunday 9th July 2006 at 9:30am.

A story is told about an atheist who was walking through the woods when a huge grizzly bear charged towards him. He ran away - fast. But he tripped and fell. Looking up he saw the bear raising his paw to take a swipe at him. At that instant the atheist cried out in desperation: "Oh my God spare me from this beast about to eat me!" Time stopped. The bear froze. The forest was silent. At that moment a bright light shone down on the man and a voice came from the sky: "You deny My existence for all of these years, teach others I don't exist and even credit creation to cosmic accident. Do you expect Me to help you out of this predicament?

Am I to count you as a believer?"

The atheist looked directly into the light: "It would be hypocritical of me to suddenly ask you to treat me as a Christian now, but, as you can see my situation now ... could you make the bear a Christian first?"

"Very well", said the voice. The light went out. The sounds of the forest resumed. And the bear lowered his paw. He bowed his head and murmured: "Lord, bless this 'Breakfast', 'Food' which I am about to receive and for which I am truly thankful"
