St. Matthews Nursery has been established for over ten years. It provides education and care to children from 2 to 5 years. The ethos of the nursery is learning through play, and children are encouraged and supported to extend their abilities through a well planned curriculum.

We are regulated and monitored by OFSTED (Office in Standards for Education), and are included in the local authorities early years plan. This means we are registered to receive education grants for children aged 3 to 4 years, which entitles these children to 5 x 2½ hour sessions per week free of charge.

The service offered is flexible to meet the needs of local families, from a 2½ hour session to full day care from 9.15am to 3.30pm. Charges are variable depending on the service required (see below for further details). We also charge every child £1.00 per week towards our snack bar.

If you have a child that would benefit from our service why not come along and see what we have to offer. The entrance to the building is in Vaughan Road. You are welcome to drop in any time, and if you like what you see you can complete a form and enter your child's details on our waiting list.
